We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to build core backend systems, distributed

services, and AI-powered workflows.

Responsibilities

● Build backend services in Java and Python

● Develop microservices, APIs, and asynchronous workflows

● Build systems that integrate with AI agents and automation workflows

● Design scalable, secure, and observable backend platforms

● Work closely with product, domain experts, and customers

● Mentor engineers and contribute to architecture decisions

Required Skills

● Strong experience with Java and Python

● Hands-on experience across a mix of Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Data JPA,

and/or FastAPI services

● Experience with microservices and distributed systems

● PostgreSQL, Apache Kafka, and API-first design

● Docker and Kubernetes

● Security: JWT, OAuth2

● Testing across Java and Python services using JUnit 5, Mockito, Pytest, integration

testing, and TestContainers

● Observability using Prometheus, Grafana, logging, and distributed tracing

Preferred

● Graph DB, Elasticsearch, and polyglot persistence

● Domain-Driven Design

● Workflow engines, orchestration systems, or saga patterns

● Experience building or integrating AI agents / LLM workflows

● GitOps and CI/CD pipelines

● Insurance domain knowledge (policies, claims, underwriting)
